Ongoing conflict combined with discriminatory policies and inequitable resource distribution have left roughly 46 million enslaved, 689 million in extreme poverty, 957 million starving, and 83 million refugees or forcibly displaced persons without a safe place to live. Uncertainty has become the new normal as the next extreme weather event, nuclear threat, pandemic, or financial collapse can unfold at a moment’s notice with catastrophic consequences.

We work to create greater resilience to these shocks through preparedness programs and community education. We seek out our most marginalized groups to provide timely, critical relief.
